Everest Base Camp Trekking June 2007

I had a great trek to Everest Base Camp. With good weather, beautiful views and a nice hike. I met up with my guide in Lukla what turned out really good.
At first I was a bit cautious but the company arranged everything really good. An experience never to forget.

Although I haven’t done an other trekking, I would really recommend the Everest trek, amazing all the high peaks you can see from Kalapatthar. Standing on 5500m with this 8 km tops surrounding make you feel very small. And walking to Base Camp is really special!!! The place was it ends for us, but begins the real guys.
In short, an experience for life.

It was the most humbling, rewarding, challenging experience of my life. And I loved every minute of it. Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lake trekking April 2007

I did the Gokyo – EBC trek with Puru and our guide Shreeram. I have only good things to say. Puru was profession, relaxed and not pushy, but took care of everything. We never felt he was doing anything, but working to get us exactly what ho hoped and a successful trek. I would use him again and recommend him to others. Prices were good and reasonable.

Shreeram, our guide was also excellent. We had a great trek with him. He was knowledgeable, funny, easy going and spoke many languages, He was always careful to face our trek as we could handle and be happy and was flexible.

Langtang Valley Trek April 2007.

My sister and I went on the Langtang Trek. We had very Little time in Nepal, we prearranged everything with Puru.We exchanged a few emails and he always responded quickly and supplied all the information that we needed. When we arrived Puru met us at the airport and took care of everything, starting from the hotel in the Thamel and right through the trek, transportation and all. Everything worked as agreed, and there was no frustration or time wasted. The guide that he hired for us, Kacey, was fantastic, very experienced, professional and knowlegeable. He made the trip extremely enjoyable and safe. The porter that he arranged for us was smiley and pleasant to be with. The Langtang trek is beautiful, there are many tea houses all along the route so you can stop anywhere. The tea houses are equipped to supply tourists' needs and the people are very friendly.
There are no words to describe the view and scenery. We really had a great time and were sorry that we didn't have time for a longer trek. I am sure we will come back.

We the trek of the Annapurna Circuit has been an amazing experience, largely thanks to Puru and his guys, Kc, Mithu and Sujan. They made the trip enjoyable. Rewarding and were always there to help us out.
All the accommodation and meals were of a good quality and we always ate well to have enough energy for the next days trekking. The guys were also flexible with us so that we could make the trek shorter to accommodate a rafting trip.
I can whole thoroughly recommend Nepal Guide Trek and hope you are lucky enough to have as a good time as we did!!

Thanks Guys!!

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking April 2007

When I first arrived in the office I was only looking for a short trek. Knowing I am not really in a good shape presently. I am a 50 years old and I have been sick for the two last years. After discussing, Puru advised me I could go on a 14 days trek and reach Annapurna Base Camp. I hold myself “we will see that on the way!!!
I finally made it slowly- slowly the two first days was really hard on me but my guide encouraged me to take my time and made all he can to the make it easy for me. I appreciate his patience and his sense of humor
Keshab was always taking care for everything., Watched for me on the way. Paying attention of hour I felt. As king hour I was going on east stop we had to do. Most of the time I can feel he already know hour I was going. He is warmful person and very affectionate. As he speaks a very good English also (better than me sometimes) we could speak about everything on the way. His attitude was also the same when we met other people in the different guest house and he made me comfortable with other guides and people in the guest houses, introducing me everywhere.
The Itinerary Puru Proposed me was really suited for me and Guide made it possible on the way.

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking March 2007

Nima Sherpa is an excellent Porter. I would say he is probably the best In Nepal. He is hard working, caring, and generous; He is also a very keen walker He genuinely loves being in the mountains and exploring new places. I walked With him for one month from Jiri to Everest Base Camp and then back. On the way back to Jiri I also visited his family. They live in remote Sherpa village under very poor conditions. It was very authentic experience.

Thank you Puru for arranging it.

Village Tour - 2007
In January 07 I flew into Katmandu with my parents in the hope of finding some of the real Nepal. About 10 years ago I went to Pokhara with friends and trekked in the Annapurna region. Although the views were amazing the spark of the place was some what tainted by the shear number of trekkers. Given the fact that was 10 years ago and has most likely gotten worst, on this trip I wanted to find somewhere quieter and away from the Pizza cafes of Pokhara! Luckily I met Puru and once I had told him my mission he recommend, what he referred to as the 'village trekk' which included a night in his parents house. We booked up and within 2 days we were in a car to for only 2 hours from Katmandu before we started trekking. The treck was amazing and we quickly realised that we were in uncharted territories. Upon arriving in villages we were literally greeted by 100s of smiling school children and there were no mars bar sellers in sight! We spent a night sleeping over the Water buffolow at Purus house and his mother and sisters were so incredibly welcoming as well as superb cooks. The last few nights were spent at the Nature Camp which is literally perched on the top of a vertical cliff where the suns sets and rises along with the views of 4 Himalaya ranges were out of the world. We were in fact the only guest theres and again the owners could not have been more friendly. The Lonely Planet mentions this place but talks about it as a activity hand gliding place, none of this is going on and once you have been there you will realise the LP writer has obviously never been there! I have trekked all over South America but to be honest the village trek that Puru organised was one of the most amazing experiences in regards to actually mixing with the locals. In the four days we did not see one other trekker or tourist! Absolute paradise and its only just over 2 hours from Kathmandu. If you don't do it you are crazy, but pls don't tell too many people!

Have fun

Annapurna Base Camp Trek -2007

Mr. Calinin Alexei So many travel companies, such little time to decide who the best is, and who will offer the most exclusively perfect experience. Well, I went to Kathmandu and spent a few days checking them all out and this company is where its all happening! Puru and his team have based all their trips on a wealth of experience having been there, and done it all! They have trekked all over Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and India so they know what’s out there and exactly where to go. All I had to do was explain what I wanted and “Bingo”- right before me appeared the perfect itinerary of everything I’d dreamed of seeing in the Himalayas. There was nothing to worry about- Puru organized everything…the food, the sleeping bag- even a donkey when my weary feet got too tired to handle the hills! Only one thing beat Puru’s passion for the area- and that was the awe inspiring scenery out there. Nothing can prepare you for the magnificent views and vistas that exist in this part of the world and my camera told a thousand beautiful shots. I will definitely be back to these parts and of course I will contact Puru again- he gets me moving where I want to go, I just relax and enjoy the ride of a lifetime.”
